I meant to do a drawing of Oscar Grant a while ago, but never got around to it. However, last weekend, when I heard Young Gully was doing a tribute album for Oscar and needed a portrait for the cover, I jumped on it. I finished this in a few hours… All done by hand, with colored pencils.
…Still have some things I need to change/add (don’t know what’s up w/the background yet), but I’m proud of it. I hope Oscar’s family/friends are touched by it… and if Ms. Johnson wants the original, please let her know it’s all hers.
